Handheld technologies, including Palms, GPS, student response systems, and other devices, are less expensive than computers and provide 1-to-1 access to technology in K-12 classrooms.

Participatory Simulations
These applications, created by MIT, allow entire classes to participate in a simulation activity. Simulations are appropriate for upper elemenatary through high school focus on science, math, and economics.
